Mitchell closing in on record

EWU quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell is nearing the CFL record for wins to open a career after yesterday's 34-15 win in Toronto. He's only two wins behind fellow Calgary Stampeder Jeff Garcia, Mitchell's off-season mentor.
Mitchell has a pretty good shot at it as one of the next two games is next Friday at home against the Eastern Division bottom-feeder Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The one bump in the schedule could be the following game, a Thursday-night roadie at the Western Division-leading Edmonton Eskimos. (Edmonton is tied with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at 3-0, while Calgary is a half-game back at 2-0. The Stamps are followed by the 1-2 B.C. Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders. In the (L)east, the Montreal Allouettes and Toronto Argonauts are tied for first at 1-2, followed by the 0-2 Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.)
