Lions' fans are always under appreciated. They suck every year and the fans still live and die with the team. I would replace them with the Cowboys on this list in a heartbeat.

For lazy people, the list is:

1. Packers
2. Broncos
3. Saints
4. Patriots
5. Ravens
6. Colts
7. (TIE) Cowboys
7. (TIE) Steelers
9. Seahawks
10. Bears

As much as I hate the Skins, I have to agree. You can't be the #3 most valued NFL team and not have top 10 fans.

The questions was "Best" fans......emphasize the word "Best" so I guess that leaves it open to interpretation....like in this story:

On the first day of school a first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Raiders fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Raiders fans. Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The teacher looks at the girl with surprise, 'Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?' Because I'm not a Raiders fan,' she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked, 'Well, if you are not a Raiders fan, then who are you a fan of?' 'I am a Broncos fan, and proud of it,' Janie replied. The teacher could not believe her ears. 'Janie please tell us why you are a Broncos fan?' "Because my mom is a Broncos fan, and my dad is Broncos fan, so I'm a Broncos fan too!" "Well," said the teacher in a obviously annoyed tone, 'that is no reason for you to be a Broncos fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?' "Then," Janie smiled, 'I'd be a Raiders fan.'

I have to agree with the Lions comment. Those fans are committed. :thumb:

I hate Daniel Snyder. And most Skins fans agree with me. But there is only one team in Washington Metro. We deserve to be on the top 10.

Chris Carter, subbing for Golic today on Mike and Mike, said that the three toughest road games for him was at Green Bay, at Denver, and at Washington. He cited the fans for the reason in all three.

I see gear from all these teams in the Midwest. Only saw Redskins gear when they played here. I don't even know a Redskins fan from around here. It's not WCB, because there are lots of Steelers, Ravens and Patriot fans around.

1. Packers
2. Broncos
3. Saints
4. Patriots
5. Ravens
6. Colts
7. (TIE) Cowboys
7. (TIE) Steelers
9. Seahawks
10. Bears

I thought season tickets to redskins games were automatically included for all the elected officials in Washington. Their record shouldn't count because that means only about 5 other people need to buy them.... :coffee:

The sellout for the game I went to at FedEx must have included sales to about 40,000 invisible motherfuckers, 'cause that place was barely half full.

You're mistaken. That was Delaware Stadium.

Look, I drove across the bridge tunnel AND faced death threats from a sadomasochistic ODU alum in the week leading up to the game and I still made it. Cry me a river about your weak fans.

Did the refs finally shit out the whistles they swallowed on that pass interference mugging by ODU on Delaware's final pass or did they have to have them surgically removed?

Washington is a regional team, the top 10 on the best fans list have huge national fan-bases.

Re: Forbes ranked NFL's best fans, and you already know who

The reason teams have huge national fanbases is because of bandwagon fans. The Packers were a regional fanbase in the 1980s. The Steelers prior to the mid-70s and 49ers prior to the early 80s were an afterthought in the sports world.

Hell, the Seahawks are still a regional afterthought, but I guarantee if they busted off three more Superbowl wins in the next five years, every swinging dick bandwagoner will become a Seattle fan.

Bottom line is that there's nothing special about Green Bay fans. You see the same passion and loyalty from probably 3/4 of NFL fanbases. There are a few outliers (Tampa, St. Louis, Miami) but most places are a tough ticket and a great home crowd.
