You know that the political spin machine is turning when a press conference is scheduled for 3pm on a Friday.
I hope there's a question and answer and the reporters there have the sack to ask the tough questions, like when he plans to resign.

Goodell evading, as expected. Refused to divulge what exactly Ray Rice told him happened in the elevator. Hiding behind the appeals process.

Refuses to provide detail on the voicemail from NFL offices about receiving the video.
All of his answers are "we're assigning Robert Mueller to investigate that" or "we're forming a new committee to address that".

I'll be damned. He actually gave one firm answer to Peter King. Says that nobody in the league office had seen the video before August.

He came off very well while he was reading the prepared portion but boy did he flop under questioning.
He's still maintaining that Rice was ambiguous about what happened in the elevator when numerous witnesses are saying Rice was not ambiguous.

Unless the owners feel some heat, he's staying. He serves at their pleasure.
I say he stays unless multiple sponsors leave the league.
