Is that anything like an offensive linebacker?

The term stems from the one-platoon era. Halfbacks playing both ways usually play what we commonly call cornerback. The CFL generally plays five deep to cover the extra slotback on offense. They usually call the outside guys cornerbacks and the middle guy a safety. The remaining two use the old defensive halfback terminology.

I knew that. I grew up in Toronto watching the Argonauts.

Great game. Almost like the ND/Colorado Orange Bowl many years ago when Rocket Ismail breaks a punt return for a TD only to have it called back for a correctly called, but entirely non-impactful to the play block in the back. Hamilton had a punt return TD called back in the final minute due to a block in the back that was legit, but pretty light and pretty meaningless to the actual return.

I was just a neutral observer - I'm a Satskatchewan fan. :thumb:

ODU's (and Hofstra's) Deron Mayo had a team leading 6 tackles and a forced fumble that lead to Calgary's first scoring drive. He also got a piece of the arm of the Hamilton QB on the last play of the game that broke up the hail Mary attempt.
