If the Phillies would be willing to eat about 40% of the salary the next two years I would love to have Howard as a Marlin.

I'd take that deal in a second. It would get rid of 60% of his salary for the Phils and we'd probably make the Marlins weaker as a result!

I think it's FantasyLand that the Phillies would ONLY pay 40% of Howard's deal regardless of where he goes, it'll be more than that.

Hence why I would take that deal in a second. We'll likely have to pay most of next year at least to have Howard play elsewhere.
