Kings Going After Karl?

Rumors are swirling that the Sacramento Kings have told interim HC Tyrone Corbin has been told that he will be released at the All-Star Break. Apparently, the Kings are knee-deep in negotiations with zillion-time retread George Karl to take over. This would be about as bad as going after Larry Brown.
Some new blood is required, IMO. There's a great assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs who's more than ready for a promotion to HC, and will get the Kings to the finals within two years.
That coach is soon-to-be HOFer Becky Hammon....

You waited that long, Jal? Wasn't that announced a day or two ago?
It's a mistake, but that's all the Kings have done lately. Horrible front office. It's getting so that they're almost as bad as the Clippers....

The Kings have been a comedy of errors since the arena deal was inked. However this might be the right move, just done in possibly the worst PR related way.

Malone had them headed in the right direction. They were 11-13 despite Cousins hurt and missing a lot of games. Malone was the first coach able to relate and build a good relationship with Cousins the centerpiece of the team. Since they fired him the KIngs have fallen apart. Let's hope Karl can right the ship and show some progress the rest of the season. If not it makes the new ownership group look like a bunch of clueless wannabes.

Didn't matter what Malone was doing, GM wanted him out and he was on borrowed time anyways. The Kings front office has done nothing but knee jerk reaction after knee jerk reaction...and it has been damn entertaining too,

Rumored a couple weeks ago. Became the worst kept secret in the league on Monday. Finally done at the beginning of All-Star break.
