Thinking of going to Winnipeg to watch Alex Morgan play on Friday. Anyone else taking in the cup up north?

US playing like crap against Australia at half in a 1-1 tie. Our only goal was a deflection off of Australian defender from well outside the 18 that wrongfooted the keeper. Only other quality chance was a poor header on a set piece by Wambach that went well wide. Australia has had more chances and have been saved by Solo (who was arrested last year for domestic violence and also was combative against the arresting officers - though the USWNT didn't really punish her much) making a couple very good saves

Google Hope Solo nudes, if you dare. Or you could just make a roast beef sandwich and you'll probably get the idea.

USA wins 3-1 with two goals from Rapinoe. It wasn't the best game ever but not a bad start, especially considering we are now on top of our group. 3,1,1,0.

Without. It was meaty, but not gross.

Wow, just saw those pics. She enjoys taking closeups of her anus. I think we can safely assume she enjoys anal sex.

USA dominated China even though the score was only 1-0. Now they get to face the #1 team in the world, Germany in the semis.
And I found a new crush:

La France got jacked up by horrible officiating. One German hit would have been flagged as spearing in the NFL, and another was nothing short of a WWE back body drop, neither of which were whistled. The game was stolen by a bogus hand ball call just BARELY in the box. (The ball contacted the SHOULDER, not the arm.) The game was also affected by some seriously questionable substitutions on the part of the French coach, not the least of which was the uncalled for removal of Eugenie Le Sommer.
Germany evoked memories of the '70s era Raiders with their crazy fouls. SMH....

All that said, with 2 minutes left in OT, if the French player used her left foot on the cross she had a wide open net to put the ball in the goal. Instead she tried to kick the ball with her right foot which made her shot go wide of the goal.

Yes, there IS that. But le Sommer would NOT have made that mistake....

Is THAT so?
FYI, the best football referee (yes, the CREW CHIEF considering that there's only ONE referee in an American Football game) I've seen (at least since Jerry Markbreit retired) is a female Finn who worked the 2013 Women's World Championship of American Football....

I know a German guy (he's actually 1st gen American guy) who just lost a WHOLE LOT OF MONEY
He had $1,000 on Germany in a few different bets
Never bet against American Women they'll win just to ruin your afternoon...

I dunno, it's hard to argue that the US didn't benefit significantly from refereeing decisions.
And shut up cleets, I was pulling for the US, insofar as I can pull for a women's sports team.

Yes the PK was probably not correct but the other goal was fine.

There were a lot of problems with calls, but the US clearly outplayed Germany for most of the match. Being a soccer ref is extremely tough where most of the calls are subjective (and no replay).

Yeah. The US earned that win. They outplayed the Germans big time except for early in the 2nd half and the Germans whiffed on the PK when they had a chance to take the lead. Not sure that Solo had to make a real save all game. She was credited with a save but I think it was nothing special.

Was it the "shot l" from 35 yards out that looked more like an attempt at a cross that she caught when it was already 2-0?

That was one of the few plays that Solo had to make in the game (which was not hard but it was the right play) but I think it may have actually been in the first 5-10 minutes when Solo pushed the ball over the goal for a corner.

I wasn't trying to make it sound like she shouldn't have caught it. There was only 1 German in the box but she would have had a play had Solo not caught it.
I didn't see the first 60 minutes of the game for various reasons, so that is the only "shot" I'm aware of.

Didn't interpret it that way. I was just thinking that that one play may have been the only play she had to make on the ball (maybe outside goal kicks?) in the 2nd half.
You missed a nasty play inside the box though late in the first half when an American and German knocked heads going for a set piece. Lots of blood coming out of the German's head and both women were down for a while but both came back in. No foul on the play just good aggressive play but they both came in quicker than most should in today's concern about concussions.
