Another Reason Artificial Turf Should Be Banned

Ambient temperature in Edmonton for the World Cup is 75 F, but on-pitch temperature pegged the meter at 120. We're going to see WAY too many heat illness problems. And just think what it's like under pads for American football. SMH.

And that's not even counting potential eye injuries from those bogus black pellets that pop up whenever someone is tackled.

This stuff should go away NOW.

Those black pellets are horrible. Never seen an eye injury (or anything close) but they stick to everything and are impossible to even wash away.

I thought most of the places they are using for the World Cup in Canada have the old school turf, i.e. no black pellet fill. Of course, that has its own problems, but different nonetheless.
