As long as Carson Palmer stays healthy, of course the Cardinals have a shot. It's between them, the Packers, and the Seahawks, just like last year. I don't like the Cards chances if they had to play on the road in the playoffs against either of those two, so getting the home field advantage is really important for the Cards. But all of it depends on Palmer staying upright.

I think that goes for all - keeping Palmer, Rodgers, Wilson, Brady healthy.

GB plays at Arizona Dec 27th. Could be a pivotal game.

Agreed...
Green Bay without Rogers cannot win (period) he's 80% of their offense
Nobody is going to Super Bowl 50 with a Back-up QB this year
That goes without saying

I don't think I'm prepared to go beyond the Conference Championship Games at this point.

NFC: SEA vs. GB

AFC: NE vs. DEN

I don't think I'm prepared to back that statement given history.

To wit:

The Dolts lost John Unitas to an elbow injury, and made the Super Bowl with the aging Earl Morrall. Morrall even came off the bench to win another Super Bowl to relieve Unitas and his messed up ribs. Later on, Morrall took over for the injured Bob Griese (leg and ankle) to take the Dolphins to their undefeated season before ceding the way to Griese for the Super Bowl itself.

The Rams lost Pat Haden to a jacked up thumb, and went to the Super Bowl with Vince Ferragamo.

The Raiders lost Dan Pastorini to a busted leg, and went to the Super Bowl with the supposedly washed up Jim Plunkett (who led the Raiders to ANOTHER one after that).

There have probably been others. So to deny the possibility of a recurrence before we even have a chance to see the season unfold is ludicrous....

Cinci went 3-0 last year and people said the same thing. Let's see if they can keep this up or if it's a mirage like usual.

Atlanta's D is going to cost them big time if they keep playing like they have the first 3 games. Just like cinci, I need to see more, especially in a cold weather environment.

As for GB vs. NE, I would love to watch Rodgers castrate NE's secondary so if Seattle doesn't make it, I'll be rooting big time for GB in that matchup!

I wasn't serious. Unless it came true. 8-)

BTW, have we done this before?...

Worst Superbowl imaginable: Jaguars vs Rams

Nightmare Superbowl for me: Cowboys vs Patriots

Ha, you got me. Wasn't sure if serious or not. :dunce:

Worst SB as of this week would be Chicago and Cleveland.

Nightmare is the same as yours (although Pitt getting there would suck too) :ohno:

Agreed, but Palmer is the one who seems to struggle to get through any season upright. At least the other QB's have gone all the way before, Palmer still needs to prove he can.

He started all 16 games in 2013 for Arizona

This thread isn't about 16 games, it's about either 19 or 20 games, depending on whether the team gets a bye or not. Palmer's had 12 years in the pros up to now and has managed to stay healthy through 6 of them. Hey, I like the Cards and I like Palmer, but he's clearly more of an issue than Brady, Rodgers, or Wilson are. Not sure why that's even questionable.

So you made your picks based on the assumption that a specific player is going to get hurt?

Nope, just the likliehood of it relative to other players. :thumb:

I think Palmer has been sacked less than any QB in the league so far this year...
Your observation is not exactly NEWS to the Cardinals and they agree with YOU

Mission critical number one priority - Palmer doesn't get touched
