Beckham's Behaviour May Have Been Provoked...

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Panthers CB Josh Norman (the victim of Beckham's targeting) and a Panthers official were brandishing baseball bats at NYG's Odell Beckham, Jr. The thinking is that this may have unhinged his mind a bit.

Yes, Beckham should have been tossed. He WAS rightly suspended. But look for Norman and the unnamed team accomplice to be fined as well, per Yahoo!.

They allegedly called him that, as well.

Did you watch the whole game? Yes or no?

I think I already know.

Oh my! A bad word on a football field. The horror!!

I saw Cam Newton call him "boy" live on TV just after the post-game on-field interview. Oooooh! I'm telling mommy.

No. Did that gif happen before or after the play that got Beckham suspended?

Before. Just FYI, those two were making mortal combat on every play from the opening series. I've never seen anything like it. It didn't stop until the head shot by Beckham in the third quarter and a talking to by his coaches. After that he got it together and that's when the Giants started scoring points in droves.

I'd call OBJ the aggressor on two thirds of the ongoing incidents throughout the game. Norman wasn't innocent, mind you, but OBJ was just egregious.

The story that is not getting the attention it deserves here is how the officiating crew allowed this to go on. My dad and I were watching and both agreed on the very first Giants offensive series that warnings followed by ejections should have taken place in the first quarter. OBJ was completely out of control from jump.

This crew should not be allowed in the playoffs as a penalty.

That's all I was trying to point out, I don't have a dog in this fight. A player like Beckham is going to attract a lot of this kind of attention in his career, so hopefully he uses this as a lesson on how not to deal with it.

Beckham's behavior was provoked - anyone with half a brain that watched the game could see that.

Odell Beckham had a grand total of ZERO receptions in the first half of the game. That's the first time in his career that's happened, and he's played hurt in some games & had more production. It's nothing new - Norman is currently the best CB in football. All apologies to people that don't actually watch football & think Richard Sherman still is the best by default. If Norman trash talks while he does it and gets in the opponents head & uses it to his advantage then I think he's quite a smart guy.

It's been going on all season, you'd think a team that's 14-0 would draw notice to that - but it wasn't until Sunday when the New York media poster boy for the champion of sticky gloves lost his temper & went off the deep end that more people started to pay attention.

Beckham is nothing more than DeSean Jackson with orange hair. He'll be flashing gang signs in-game next season too, just watch

I thought you would know - some CCU thing

And Norman isn't the best CB in the NFL - that would be Patrick Peterson

Why would it be a CCU thing? :suspicious:

Are you ok, Jon? :coffee:

I ask about a bat and you say it's "some CCU thing", implying that there's some history there. I ask why and your response is b/c he went to CCU?

A rational response would have been to provide some evidence of some baseball bat shenanigans that's specific to Norman. Or perhaps Beckham has some history with a baseball bat, etc.... But I expect something other than he's affiliated with a school. That makes zero sense. :dunce:

The only other explanations are you're being an ass or perhaps your trying to be funny.

Either way, what's your deal? Are you alright punkin?

Are you ok? Need cuddles? Because you have become clueless with no sense of humor. Thoughts of leaving the Charleston Cocoon getting you down, sweet potato?
