Nice come from behind win for the U.S. tonight. Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the 9th, the U.S. scores 3 runs to beat Puerto Rico 6-5. Earlier this week Puerto Rico beat the U.S. by 10 runs in a game that was shortened by the "mercy rule". The U.S. advances to the semi-finals, Puerto Rico is eliminated.

wish i could have seen it... but instead we were treated to a ton of Not Invited Tournament games... yeesh. Thanks ESPN for again ensuring that this thing won't work, and Americans won't care.

I agree. I love NCAA hoops, but this baseball game should have been on TV. It's our national team and it's supposed to be our national pasttime.

My dutch co-worker is really into this, he seems to know more about the scores and stats from each game than I do... but he also watches a lot of these games. I know he streams them on Espn360, but there's also some dutch internet station that he tunes into to get the games too. He also has some cables that I'm thinking about getting that let you connect your laptop to your TV. It's pretty sweet.

I find it ironic that the rest of the world cares more about our national pasttime than we do...
and ESPN shows all the Team USA World Cup soccer qualifiers.

it is just not that exciting. People care more about the local teams than the WBC. I rather watch Red Sox spring training than the WBC. Hell I rather watch Marlins spring training on Sun Sports than WBC.

Would you rather watch the USA play in a WBC elimination game or a first round NIT basketball game?
IMHO - ESPN showed the wrong event last night.

Yes, WBC over the NIT. For some reason though lately I do not even get regular ESPN programming for most sports events. They black my area out and I get ESPNnews. So ESPN is screwing me all over the place.
