Is everyone else as excited as I am about the new Eagles head coach hire?

Fuck yeah Doug Pederson!

Wait. Who? Wasn't he the QB between Rodney Pete and Donovan McNabb?

You are thinking of Chris Peterson.

Philly is going back to Andy Reid. Or as close to Reid as they can get.

Worst QB in the NFL at the time. Couldn't throw more than 20 yards, and his passes were all wobbly. An athletic 6-year-old could have done better.

He also was the clock manager for KC last week.

The clock is running (below image) and they're huddled up... with 3 times outs
and the clock is running - think about that for a minute because that's what they did...

Yes, the four most uttered words by Eagles fans from 99-12 were, "COME THE FUCK ON!!!"

And then you get treated to the same press conference every time:

"Injuries (reads all the injuries).

I should have done a better job. We'll get that corrected.

Time is yours. (takes questions, repeating the above each time)."

The fanbase in Philly was completely underwhelmed with both the coaching search process & the end result. We're equally underwhelmed and pissed off that Howie Roseman has regained power within the organization.

I'm expecting Bradford to choose on his own not to come back next year regardless of how much $$ we throw at him, unless the franchise tag is used.

The team & the organization are both messes.

Yeah, Kelly really fucked up the roster. Now we've lost his two skills: innovation and balls. We're left with Andy Reid light and a shit roster. Bad, bad combination. At least the Eagles had already hit rock bottom when Reid was hired and he had a high first round pick to immediately get his franchise QB for the next decade.

He's about as far from Reid as you could actually get and still be playing the same game...

One of the things that freaked me out over the CCG/Super Bowl break was that Doug Pederson had a birthday.

Dude was born in 1968.

Seems weird to have the SB winning coach only be three years older.

I'm sure there are several Rams players older than Sean McVay. Talk about weird.
