LeSean McCoy assaults off duty cops

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Sources tell Action News that former Eagles player and current Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is under investigation after two off-duty Philadelphia police officers were assaulted and seriously injured.
Philadelphia police haven't formally identified McCoy as a suspect, but in a statement issued Monday said four suspects were involved and they are "reported to be members of the National Football League."
It allegedly happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at the Recess Lounge located at 125 South 2nd Street in Old City.
Philadelphia police said on Monday afternoon there was an argument over a bottle of champagne.

Now debatable if charges will even be filed by the DA. I'm predicting a civil court outcome.

Expect a press conference today by Philadelphia DA that they will not pursue criminal charges against anyone in the case.

It's an ugly situation that's for sure. The FOP replied to the DA's office with a letter that's gone viral that reminds the DA that Democratic National Convention is in Philly this summer & they might take a "Baltimore-like" approach to policing the protestors.
