Sorry to go BDK on you, but this post cracked me the hell up several months back.93henfan wrote:Good move. He had a strong finish to the season and the Eagles need him there right now. This buys time, but not too much time if things go badly.
One less high draft pick to worry about this year when OL is the priority.
And now he throws his second interception of the day in the end zone. 14 points given away by this motherfvcker.
Someone please hand this guy a gun so he can kill himself

Thank You.

Eh, it's less than what a franchise tag would've been, it's only for two years (so not burdened for awhile if he blows next year), and Bradford is still a world's better than any free agent QB out there. With the salary cap going up like it has as well everyone's price tag goes up. Sure beats having to watch Mark Sanchez QB the clube next year.Chizzang wrote:Eagle sign Bradford - 2 yrs $36 Mil

Bradford is a good fit only if you have a top 5 D and top 5 running game. Otherwise, 10-6 is the ceiling and 9-7 or worse is likely.GannonFan wrote:Eh, it's less than what a franchise tag would've been, it's only for two years (so not burdened for awhile if he blows next year), and Bradford is still a world's better than any free agent QB out there. After Chip Kelly's destruction of the roster, that's all that can really be asked until personnel is replenished.kalm wrote:Bradford is a good fit only if you have a top 5 D and top 5 running game. Otherwise, 10-6 is the ceiling and 9-7 or worse is likely.GannonFan wrote:

DeSean's and LeSean's don't seem to work out in Philly.bluehenbillk wrote:Maybe Bradford gets hurt, the season goes down in flames & we draft DeSean Watson next year??
That's French for "of Sean" and "the Sean," respectively.93henfan wrote:DeSean's and LeSean's don't seem to work out in Philly.bluehenbillk wrote:Maybe Bradford gets hurt, the season goes down in flames & we draft DeSean Watson next year??
I keep wondering what destruction actually happened under Chip. People seem to be upset that we are "stuck" with Bradford, but the only thing Chip did at that position was to jettison Foles and get Bradford. How is that destroying things? The QB position wasn't a position of greatness for the Eagles before Chip got here and it's not one afterwards, nor did he have a chance to really do better. And heck, Bradford probably is better than Foles.93henfan wrote:After Chip Kelly's destruction of the roster, that's all that can really be asked until personnel is replenished.kalm wrote:

I think letting Macklin walk and getting nothing in return really hurt. The others...meh. McCoy is in the final years of "his prime", and RB in general are a dime a dozen in this day and age of the NFL. Jackson was a stud, but was he worth the off the field issues? He was also getting up there in years.Chizzang wrote:The "Chip Kelly destruction" of the Philadelphia Eagles is overly dramatic hyperbole...
His only crime is he didn't win - the roster is fine
If you watched the Eagles o-line for 16 games last year you might think differently.Chizzang wrote:The "Chip Kelly destruction" of the Philadelphia Eagles is overly dramatic hyperbole...

It's "Eagle". Singular. See thread title.93henfan wrote:If you watched the Eagles o-line for 16 games last year you might think differently.Chizzang wrote:The "Chip Kelly destruction" of the Philadelphia Eagles is overly dramatic hyperbole...

Almost nobody had an offensive line by the end of last season...93henfan wrote:If you watched the Eagles o-line for 16 games last year you might think differently.Chizzang wrote:The "Chip Kelly destruction" of the Philadelphia Eagles is overly dramatic hyperbole...

How about in August? That's when it was apparent that Kelly had wrecked the line. And to reinforce Kelly's stupidity, one of the two key OL he cut just got fitted for his Super Bowl ring a few days ago.Chizzang wrote:Almost nobody had an offensive line by the end of last season...93henfan wrote:

Still not a reason to over pay Bradford by $5 Mil a season...
Isn't Rex Grossman out there somewhere?93henfan wrote:How about in August? That's when it was apparent that Kelly had wrecked the line. And to reinforce Kelly's stupidity, one of the two key OL he cut just got fitted for his Super Bowl ring a few days ago.Chizzang wrote:

And on your last point, please let me know who out there was a better option for the Eagles at the price they paid for Bradford on a 2-yr deal. Because the Eagles front office wasn't able to locate this wunderkind you allude to.
