49rs ownership... and other failings

The old Stadium:
Attending a 49ers game at Candlestick Park meant standing in raw sewage
and somehow coming home with a blistering sunburn AND frostbite...

And yet absolutely everyone agrees that the new stadium is far worse—not slightly inconvenient, not marginally less fun—far fucking worse than Candlestick Park. They can’t even practice there because the turf is too dangerous to play football on. Ponder that for a few moments, the 49rs new stadium turf is so dangerous the team can't hold any kind of team practice on it and that’s like the 25th most objectionable thing about it.

Levi’s stadium is so awful that season ticket holders with PSLs are refusing to pay for their tickets
which means that Jed York may have to sue his own season ticket holders to get them to go to games

Also: "Santa Clara is a parking lot with a mayor."

FWIW, the Redskins stadium has sucked ass in every possible way since the day it opened and the old stadium was a dump but made people long for the days of RFK.

BTW, do any teams actually practice at their stadiums?

Yes on game day...
and the Seahawks practice in the stadium on Thursday before home games

The Eagles stopped going to Lehigh under Chip Kelly and that has continued this year under Pederson. They primarily practice across the street from the stadium at team headquarters but also hold a few practices for the public in the stadium.

Is Levi's really worse than Kezar (relative to the rest of the league, anyway)?

They still don't have their turf figured out? How hard is it to get decent sod put down?

It's interesting to read stuff like this, and then see everything about the Vikings new stadium and how awesome it is

Except for the team itself
