Feel terrible for Teddy Bridgewater blowing out his knee in practice yesterday. This leads to the question, will Brett Favre Return? Will the Vikings stand pat with Shaun Hill, or look at bringing in Kapernick or Vick?

Haven't seen this kind of depression among the Purple Faithful since Morten Anderson kicked a field goal in the 1999 NFC Championship game.

Man, that 1999 NFC title game was just simply brutal. I'm not even a Vikes fan and I felt like someone hit me in the gut with that game. There's tough losses and then there are brutal losses, and that '99 game even surpassed brutal.

Yup, Dennis Green almost ran Rich Gannon out of football when he was QB up in Minnesota. Benched Gannon after leading the Vikes to an 8-3 record in favor of Sean "ESPN" Salisbury, and the Vikes proceeded to miss the playoffs. Luckily, a real coach like John Gruden recognized what Gannon could do and brought him aboard, even having Gannon be the MVP of the NFL for a year. I guess Dennis let Gannon off the hook.

Don't even get me started on the '93 Phillies. Everyone points to Mitch Williams, but the real culprit was Jim Fregosi pulling Roger Mason after a great relief job in the 7th inning of that game 6. Puts in Larry Anderson in the 8th, Larry can't throw the ball by anyone at the point in his career, struggles and turns the lineup over, and Mitch see the heart of the lineup in the 9th and we know what happened. Keep Mason in the game to pitch the 8th and Mitch gets a save pitching against the bottom of the lineup in the 9th and a red hot Curt Schilling pitches a gem in Game 7 and the Phils take the Series. Damn Fregosi.

I'm too lazy to look up his numbers but I'm guessing his completion percentage had to be near a record. Wasn't there one game where he completed something like his first 20 or something like that?

Could've been a much different game with Gannon going up against that defense. Heck, the year before that, Gannon got screwed again with the whole tuck rule game against the Patriots. And then, when he finally does get to the Super Bowl, Gruden is gone and is coaching the team he has to go up against, and because Callahan might have been the dumbest coach in NFL history (him and Switzer are neck and neck in that department) he hasn't changed any of the terminology from when Gruden was there, and the Bucs know every play before it happens. What's puzzling to me though, is that was not a "perfect" passer rating (158.3). For example, this was?...

NO ONE was going to beat the Ravens that year. NO ONE. If I have ever witnessed a team of destiny it was that one. And I'm no Ravens fan. The defense got better and better as the competition got better.

Nah, it was late back then too. There's a reason Siragusa got fined heftily (pun intended) for the hit. The refs blew the call, and the NFL fining the player afterwards indicates the NFL felt the ref missed the call, not that it wouldn't mattered to Gannon if there was a yellow flag on the field or not.

Vikings are waiting for Mark Sanchez to get cut.
