I hate the pats, but have to give them kudos for starting 3-0 with Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett. Actually building a game plan around the abilities of your QBs is a lost art (actually a never-was art) in the NFL. There's likely not a single NFL team that would be 3-0 playing their second-string QB twice and their third-string guy for one game.

There is a reason college teams are very hesitant to hire NFL coaches anymore, and it's because they simply can't deal with roster's that are more in flux than NFL rosters. They are a bunch of stubborn mules who think there is only 1 way to run an offense.

On another note, it's more proof of what I've argued with UNHWildcats and one or two others that Tom Brady is not the G.O.A.T. but a product of a system that gets the most out of whoever the QB is.

Andy Reid Eagles teams in early 2000's. I remember the year McNabb broke his ankle and one of the Detmer's came in for a MNF game against the Niners and won but got hurt, then AJ Feeley came in and won two or three games. Didn't matter who they plugged in, they kept winning.

Well actually they didn't "keep winning" because if they did they'd have won a superbowl
It as the Patriots that won the last game of the season 3 out of the four years in that span

But yes, Andy Reid won a few games with sh!t QB play...

:coffee:

Where's the asterisk? Those games were played during the era where the Patriots were filming stuff they shouldn't have. :coffee:

Feel free to attach a asterisk to anything you see fit...

Important Note:
They were filming the sames things everybody was filming at that time
All teams were asked to stop after the 2006 season
