89 should be on here bragging on his Nats. They're running away with the NL East. Definitely WS-bound. 8-)

While saying Nats are Series bound is a bit premature, I think it is safe to say they are playoff bound barring major injuries.

15-13 at home and 21-10 on the road. :suspicious:

Even the red-hot Astros are better on the road than at home.

They're good at home and away. Rockies are just mediocre at home and great away.

The Rockies winning on the road is something new. 2009 was their best coming into this year at 41-40. I attribute this year to much better hitting on road and consistent starting pitching, a rarity for the Rockies.

Max Scherzer is just an absolute beast and crazy competitor. 14 K's in 7 innings last night at the Dodgers, including 11 K's in the first 4 innings (had to record four outs in one inning because of passed third ball on a K). 38 K's in last three starts. He gets fired up on the mound. :thumb:

Can't let the day go on without recognizing one of the most impressive offensive displays in baseball history, by one of the least likely players.

Scooter Gennett of the Cincinnati Reds went 5 for 5 with 4 HR's and 10 RBI's in last night's game.
He entered the game with three home runs all season, just 38 in his career, and just one two-homer game. It makes him the least likely member of the four-homer club, at least since Bobby Lowe all the way back in 1894.

I like Scherzer. Better enjoy him now, because you'll (they'll) be paying him bunches of money for a long time.

Strasburg and Kershaw dueling it out. Nats get an HR from Zim in the 2nd and Stras holds them to 1 hit through 5 but then gives up 2 runs in the 6th. :x

Will Strasburg be healthy until the All-Star Break, or will he visit the DL after?

That'll happen when the division leader only has 18 losses. A wild card berth would do just fine.
