Based on this result, the Nats will be lucky to win 10 games this year.93henfan wrote:Phils just dropped 12 runs on the Natinals in the bottom of the first tonight.

Phillies win the Super Bowl?93henfan wrote:We dance!bandl wrote: Based on this result, the Nats will be lucky to win 10 games this year.
How long before Harper is a Phillie? That will be funny. The Natspos won't be able to afford to keep him. Hah.bandl wrote:Phillies win the Super Bowl?93henfan wrote:

I'm not sure where you want me to go with this...
He'll prolly break his spleen the first game he plays for the Phils/Yanks. That will be funny. LOL.93henfan wrote:How long before Harper is a Phillie? That will be funny. The Natspos won't be able to afford to keep him. Hah.bandl wrote: Phillies win the Super Bowl?

If he gets what it is reported that he (or really Scott Boras) wants, only the Yanks, Dodgers or maybe Red Sox will be able to afford him.93henfan wrote:How long before Harper is a Phillie? The Phillies have one player... one... on contract for 2018. They have a $2.5B TV deal with Philly's own Comcast as well as NBC Universal.tribe_pride wrote:If he gets what it is reported that he (or really Scott Boras) wants, only the Yanks, Dodgers or maybe Red Sox will be able to afford him.93henfan wrote:

Holy crap. Has something like that ever happened before?93henfan wrote:The Phillies have one player... one... on contract for 2018. They have a $2.5B TV deal with Philly's own Comcast as well as NBC Universal.tribe_pride wrote:

Who better to start a franchise with and start paying that enormous TV deal forward with an explosion in viewership back to 2008-2010 levels?
Maybe work a deal with the Angels for Trout - he starts pulling $34M a year next year (up from $20M this year).93henfan wrote:The Phillies have one player... one... on contract for 2018. They have a $2.5B TV deal with Philly's own Comcast as well as NBC Universal.tribe_pride wrote:

Trout and Wentz are butt buddies now, so this could happen. Would Flaggy become a Phils fan if they snagged The Millville Meteor?GannonFan wrote:Maybe work a deal with the Angels for Trout - he starts pulling $34M a year next year (up from $20M this year).93henfan wrote:

Imagine if they snagged Harper in free agency and traded for Trout as well. Holy Moses!93henfan wrote:Trout and Wentz are butt buddies now, so this could happen. Would Flaggy become a Phils fan if they snagged The Millville Meteor?GannonFan wrote:

I almost feel bad for you guys having to rely on daydreaming.GannonFan wrote:Imagine if they snagged Harper in free agency and traded for Trout as well. Holy Moses!93henfan wrote:

Hey, the Mariners stole Cano from the Yanks. Money talks.89Hen wrote:I almost feel bad for you guys having to rely on daydreaming.GannonFan wrote:

Have the Nats won a playoff series yet? You know, ever? Just checking.89Hen wrote:I almost feel bad for you guys having to rely on daydreaming.GannonFan wrote:

Nope, but that doesn't really have much to do with the Phillies. It's just sad to see a team not that far removed from two WS appearances in a row and sellout crowds reduced to battling with the Braves for last place in the East.GannonFan wrote:Have the Nats won a playoff series yet? Happens all the time, it's called ebb and flow. How many seasons have we gone now with the Yankees missing the playoffs? The Red Sox finished dead last in the AL East just as recently as 2014. The Cubs spent more than a century before winning another World Series. Some teams are up, some are down. Phils should be up again in a year or two. Considering their history, I'll take that.89Hen wrote:Nope, but that doesn't really have much to do with the Phillies. Well, there are only two things certain here:89Hen wrote:I almost feel bad for you guys having to rely on daydreaming.GannonFan wrote:

1. The Phillies have a chance to have Harper and Trout in their starting lineup in 2019.
2. The Natinals will have neither in theirs in 2019.
Please explain where I'm wrong. I doubt the Phillies will get both of them, but please explain where anything in my post is wrong.89Hen wrote:93henfan wrote:
