Nope. Still just a bunch of negros running around like chow time at the zoo.Ivytalk wrote:I haven't followed the NBA since 2001. Haven't attended a game in person since around 1995. Have I missed anything?
I thought I heard that defense has been outlawed in the NBA...bluehenbillk wrote:Very entertaining game last night. If the Cavs are going to have a shot of winning they'll need to play some defense. That was sorely lacking last night.
There is defense in the NBA, it's just not the same defense you expect to see. If there was no defense, you would see scores approaching 200 per team, similar to the NBA all-star game, where they play no defense.Col Hogan wrote:I thought I heard that defense has been outlawed in the NBA...bluehenbillk wrote:Very entertaining game last night. It's exactly like hockey, except one's all white and the other is all-black. Both boring as shit.Ivytalk wrote:I haven't followed the NBA since 2001. Haven't attended a game in person since around 1995. Have I missed anything?
Well, more people watch the NBA Finals than they do the Stanley Cup finals, so TV needs to be taken into account. If they had just jumped into the series as soon as it was determined you would've had multiple games over the Memorial Day weekend, which would've reduced the TV audience versus what they could get set up the way they have done it now. With that said, it is ridiculously stretched out. If this goes 7 games, Game 7 is on Father's Day (June 18th), which would be a 2 week and 3 day long Finals.89Hen wrote:I forgot they hadn't played this yet. Why does the NBA have to delay the Finals like this? NHL starts as soon as both teams are determined.
Big sports on holiday weekends are awesome IMO.GannonFan wrote:you would've had multiple games over the Memorial Day weekend, which would've reduced the TV audience
For you, not for most apparently. Father's Day weekend is different, hence why they may have stretched it out so if it does go 7 games they get to use that weekend. US Open is that weekend so that would be a big weekend.89Hen wrote:Big sports on holiday weekends are awesome IMO.GannonFan wrote:you would've had multiple games over the Memorial Day weekend, which would've reduced the TV audience
I don't consider myself to be very different from most. Holiday weekend at 9pm, there aint shit going on. Winding down from a big day, sports on TV = a good thing.GannonFan wrote:For you, not for most apparently.
Does this include KEVIN LOVE?????93henfan wrote:Nope. Still just a bunch of negros running around like chow time at the zoo.Ivytalk wrote:I haven't followed the NBA since 2001. Haven't attended a game in person since around 1995. Have I missed anything?
Is he a negro? If so, yes. If no, no.dal4018 wrote:Does this include KEVIN LOVE?????93henfan wrote:

Granted, MJ never really had to cover the other team's best scorer as that typically went to Pippen, but at the same time, I never saw MJ get repeatedly torched time and time again in an NBA Finals by the guy he was guarding. Lebron got lit up last night - he could stop Durant or Curry last night, either on outside shots or, even more glaring, when they drove to the hoop on him. You can't be the GOAT and get that many highlight plays against you in an NBA Finals game.Gil Dobie wrote:ESPN's GOAT is getting worn down and schooled by the two best players in the NBA.
I don't have either one in consideration for my GOAT. ESPN has been on this MJ vs Lebron GOAT debate for a couple years now.GannonFan wrote:Granted, MJ never really had to cover the other team's best scorer as that typically went to Pippen, but at the same time, I never saw MJ get repeatedly torched time and time again in an NBA Finals by the guy he was guarding.
