2017 Women's World Championship of American Football

This past weekend, the top women's national football teams kicked off the third World Championship Tournament at Langley, BC. Preliminary games were played Saturday and Tuesday, leading to 5th Place, Bronze Medal, and Gold Medal Games tomorrow. As per usual, Team Canada and Team USA will face off for the Gold, though it wasn't as easy as in the past for Team USA, dealing with a spirited Mexican defense on Saturday. Given their experience in two other international tournaments, one would have expected better of Finland. I also expected more from Australia, as they're led by Dr. Jen Welter, the first female coach in NFL history, as well as the first female non-kicker to play in a men's professional league.

Final Preliminary Standings

USA 2 0 77 0
CAN 2 0 66 6
MEX 1 1 31 39
GB 1 1 27 56
FIN 0 2 21 75
AUS 0 2 16 63

Saturday Results

GB 27, FIN 21
USA 29, MEX 0
CAN 31, AUS 6

Tuesday Results

MEX 31, AUS 10
USA 48, FIN 0
CAN 35, GB 0

Friday Games

5th Place: AUS vs. FIN, 1130 PDT
Bronze Medal: MEX vs. GB, 1530 PDT
Gold Medal: CAN vs. USA, 1930 PDT

Finland just shut out Australia 35-0 to claim 5th Place.

Mexico and Great Britain are kicking off in the Bronze Medal Game right now.

Canada vs. USA at 1930 PDT tonight for the Gold Medal.

Mexico beat Great Britain yesterday 19-8 to take the Bronze Medal.

The Gold Medal Game was the closest in the short history of this Championship, as Team USA beat host Team Canada 41-16. That's the most points USA has ever given up in a game, and the least USA has scored in a Gold Medal Game. It's also the closest game USA has ever played.

I guess all this WFA/ECB cherry-picking that went on during tryouts was a mistake....

So...
I'd watch the highlights of the final if that were available anywhere on the global internet
How and why do they think they're going to grow if the video isn't published somewhere..?

But firm - if you like your booty on the generous, athletic side, then there's a league for you. And I'm waiting for the charity auction where I can bid on playing QB for a quarter...

Just head down to the nearest dyke bar (I'm sure you know where most of them are) and ask the person wearing the most flannel for a recap.

I always wonder about things-

Like, when these gals get done with a game, ca they stand the smell of stinky vadge in the locker room? Does it drive them to leave there more quickly?

I'll bet post game interviews are conducted outside the locker room

Yeah, that was my exact reaction as I read your post asking for highlights, but I decided to take a humorous angle rather than straight up Ursus-slapping you.
