NBA Summer League

I'm not betting at all, but I'm getting the feel of what a betting junkie feels like in that I've watched multiple NBA Summer League games, and many that didn't even include ones with my Sixers.
First impressions:
- Lonzo Ball couldn't have had a more worrisome debut - 1 for 11 from deep and he looked as slow on defense as was the knock on him in college. It's one game, but what a dud of a game.
- In the same game, to much less fanfare, that Thornwell kid from South Carolina did what he did in college - without flash, he just effectively scored time and time again. Kid might be a solid NBA player.
- De'Aaron Fox looks like he could be really, really good in this league. He even looks faster than he did in college just a few months ago. Could be a Summer League lack of defense thing, but he looked good nonetheless.
- Buddy Hield, by comparison, looks like he's never going to be a factor in the NBA. He has Fox there to set him up with great looks and he just looks slower and less talented.
- I didn't see much Atlanta Hawks games this past year, but they should give De'Andre Bembry more of a look - he'll be in his second year out of St. Joes. I know I'm biased because he's local, but he should get an extended look.
- From the Utah league earlier in the week, Fultz, Tatum, and Mitchell showed a lot of promise so far. This past draft class looks to have a lot of guys who will make a mark in the NBA.

Lonzo Ball.
Laker front office has to be shitting bricks right about now. Super early but still, it's not like the talent level in the SL is anything great.

I hope that kid falls flat on his face. Never have I felt that way before.

Fultz down with an ankle injury. Sure we won't see him the rest of Summer League now.
Ball goes for a triple double tonight, although shooting percentage was poor.
Tatum continues to impress.

Not the kid's fault. It's the father. Lets hope he falls down some stairs, or something.

The Philadelphia sports hex continues. "Why can't we have nice things?"

I don't know if I would trust that process.

How many seasons will he miss?
Is this part of the process?
Seriously though, I'd love for the Sixers to be good again so I could maybe give a shit about the monkey league. Let me know when they get good.

So far he's just out the normal 1-2 weeks for a sprained ankle. Not sure if this will balloon into minutes restrictions once the season starts 3 months from now.

Most games seem to be in the 80s and 90s, pointwise. The kids can't shoot, either.

Different rules in Summer League - games are only 40 minutes long versus the regular season 48.

So? They still can't shoot.
Those guys are either dunking or jackassing 3-point shots. The mid-range jumper is a thing of the past.

Short shorts are out too these days. And don't even get me started on all the tattoos!

The old man is gravytraining off his kid. If it were me, I'd tell him to shut his pie hole.

The lack of zone defense killed the mid-range jumper. Now, if you beat your man on the perimeter, it's an open lane to the basket.
