NL West:
Los Angeles
Colorado
Arizona
Padres
San Franciso
NL Central:
St. Louis
Chicago
Cincinnati
Houston
Pittsburgh
NL East:
Philadelphia
Florida
New York
Atlanta
Washington
NL Wildcard winner
Florida
NL notes:
-NY, Florida and Phi all finish within 3-5 games of each other after the Marlins take a huge lead early in the season, but fade late. Mets fans over throw the organization over another let down.
-The Central is dominated the first month of the season and then St. Louis takes charge. Maybe next year Cubbies.
-The West is somewhat improved top to bottom, but not a lot. and the Rockies make a push for LA, but come up just short.
-Wildcard comes down to Cub's and Marlin's but Florida takes the tiebreaker
AL West:
Anaheim
Texas
Seattle
Oakland
AL Central:
Minnesota
Chicago
Cleveland
Kansas City
AL East:
Boston
Tampa Bay
New York
Toronto
Baltimore
AL Wildcard winner:
Tampa holds off the Chicago by half game
AL notes:
-The West is closer than people think as the Angels fall below expectations much more than the rest of the division improves. The Mariners don't finish in last place as bringing Griffey back home gives the team enough energy to finish 3rd.
-The Central is a hellacious season as teams beat the piss out of each other. Twins hold off the Sox late in the year after a slow start. Cleveland again doesn't meet expectations but aren't as far off as they were last year, and Kansas City is MUCH improved but still not able to keep up with the division, but show real promise.
-The East is a two team race, assuming the Ray's repeate last year. If not the Sox walk away with the division. The Yanks fall apart due to controversy after controversy due to the egos on the team. Toronoto and Baltimore show some real promise, but not a real threat for about 2 more years.

Most people's did. My favorite though was the 88-92 games lost by the Yanks.
I can't believe Willie (well obviously Willie did) is the only one in this thread who had the Yankees even making the playoffs. You guys were fucking nuts.

Well, you were right about the Central...you were right about the Royals (at least in April), and I think you mean that the Yankmees would WIN 92 games, didn't you?

the picks i whiffed badly were the Giants and the Yankees... thing is, I thought they were going to be sans A-Rod a lot longer than they were
i think it's fair to say i had the central pegged (just got the winner wrong, but the scenario... pretty close)
Toronto showed the strength I thought they would - and then gave up the ghost. Brewers tanked, Marlins surged... not a bad year of picks

I'm a little late (obviously) on this post, but this is what I expected this year:
AL East - Red Sox
AL Central - Tigers
AL West - Angles
NL East - Mets
NL Central - Cubs
NL West - Dodgers
The Giants proved me wrong this year by almost making the playoffs, despite their terrible offense. It was nice to see them hang around until the end of the season.
