15% Chance

The Vikings are playing a second consecutive road game outside of their Division...
Statistically speaking teams in this scenario win about 15% of the time
If they were at home the Vikings would be favored by 7+
Which only improves their chances of winning by about 10% here
If the Vikings win this game
They are absolutely LEGIT
This is THE big test of the season for them
Back-to-Back out of Division Road games are a killer in the NFL
and here we are... Only teams with serious intestinal fortitude win in this scenario

Eagles same scenario. 2.5 pt dogs in LA.

Both teams are legit. There, didn't even have to see the games played. Rams and Saints are legit too. NFC champ is one of those teams. See that big leap I took there?

Vikings now 3 pt favorites in Vegas (concensus). Eagles still 2 pt dogs.

the Vikings have drawn more "suspicion" as to their playoff run capability
This game upcoming will show us a little something about that

Nah, great defense. And really, if they're a top 2 seed, how much of a "run" do they need? They'll get at least one home game and will be tough to beat at home, and then they'll play the NFC title game. It's two games we're talking about. The 4 teams I mentioned are the best teams in the NFC (apologies to Seattle, despite the win over the Eagles I still see them as not quite as good as this group - I don't see the Falcons either, they're still suffering from PTSD from 28-3) and those 4 will duke it out for who gets to play New England in the Super Bowl (the AFC is devoid of good competition - Pittsburgh would need homefield to beat the Pats, and those are the only 2 teams in the AFC).

Spoken like a fan of a Super Bowl loser...
Pay attention sparky:
It's never "just two games" unless you're the Vikings and the Eagles
It's three games...
That third game matters
it's called the Super Bowl and you kinda wanna win that one
You need to win three games in the playoffs otherwise you're just a statistic on a data sheet
Thank you Gannonfan

7 of the contenders (including the Hawks, Panthers, Jags, and Falcons are top 10 in total defense. NO and LA are 12 and 13. The outlier is NE at 28th although they're top 10 in ppg.
If it's still a QB league, do you still question the chances of the unprovens like Keenum, Goth, Bortels

etc. and favor the provens like NE, SEA, NO, and Pitt?

Settle down, Francis. Everyone is a statistic on a data sheet anyway, winners and losers.

No shit. You haven't lived until you've painted your face, chugged 2 liters of A&W, and cheered the Sirens to victory over the Roseville Rug Munchers.

Hate the Vikings, but they do have a good defense and nice pair of receivers in Diggs and Thielen. Thielen is a great FA story out of DII Minnesota St Mankato. They have been on a roll since the Green Bay game that Rodgers went down in. They find ways to snatch defeat out of victory in key games.

Who's the Vikings placekicker this year? Is he on any crazy streak of consecutive field goals or PATs or something like that. I'm sure that won't be a problem come playoff time in some critical moment in the game.

I'll be attending my first professional sports game ever this weekend - Panthers v. Vikings. I can't wait.

My first NFL game saw the Packers vs Cardinals playoff game in January 1983 at Lambeau Field. 2nd was the Vikings vs 49ers, September 1983, with the 49ers taking a 41-10 lead at the half. Enjoy!
