Carson Wentz replaces Pence as National Prayer Breakfast speaker.

Wentz will replace Vice President Pence as the keynote speaker, who will instead be attending the official start of the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, according to an announcement from Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., WDAZ reported.

This Eagles team has a lot of Jesus people on it. They even say the Lord’s Prayer together before games.

I don’t have an account so I can’t link the story...basically it is based on the fact that Wentz comes back...it’s his job...and the Eagles can’t keep Foles with Wentz as the starter...

Absolutely. As soon as Wentz is 100% you trade Foles. Can’t pay two starters in the NFL.

I think they’ll keep both in 2018. Their combined salaries are under the NFL starting QB average. It all depends on Wentz’s recovery. I don’t see the Eagles trading Foles now and using Sudfeld as the main backup.

What about trading Wentz and keeping the Super Bowl hero???

Wentz could get a lot, and his low cost contract would be very attractive...

Of course. Foles is under contract. You keep him until you don’t need him, when Wentz is 100%, then trade him. It’s not rocket science. Some stupid GM will give us too much for him. You have to take the value. Can’t get emotionally attached to players in the Not For Long. Wentz is the franchise. That being said, if Wentz blows the ACL again, then he’s a possible Sammy Sleeves and you make Foles the guy long-term.

Frank Reich would be a fool to take the Indianapolis job...

Congrats to the former JMU QB. He’ll be a HC in the near future. Imagine that- could have 3 former CAA players as NFL HCs..Ironically, DeFilippo, like Nagy, is 39 and from PA..

Yup. Wentz is younger and you have him on his rookie contract for a few more years. He's the franchise players. Foles is great, and with this system and coaching staff he'll be a top player, but he's only under contract through next year. Wentz may not be ready for Week 1 of next season, so you keep Foles and let him play 3-4 games tops before Wentz is back, and if Wentz looks good you trade Foles to somebody who gives you a ransom for him. Great spot to be in.

Foles had a great run through January. Just like Falcco. He'll be in the dumpster after 2-3 years. I hope he gets a cherry contract like the Ravens bum.

I think Foles could continue to do well with this coaching staff, this group of play callers, and this team. I question how effective he'll be if he's in a different scenario with a staff that won't craft the right scheme for him. Granted, Jeff Fisher is a terrible coach for QB's, but that failure there was real. It's notable that Foles did play well for Andy Reid in limited time at KC, and Reid is another guy who's a good coach for QB's. The league isn't chock-full of these types of coaches, though, and that will be Foles's limitation going forward.
