I'll look at the picks tomorrow morning. Not as interested to watch it since they moved it from the weekend.

The draft is far less entertaining for teams that win a lot of games
The Eagles will be drafting at the bottom for the foreseeable future
They're loaded with talent - they have quality QB's falling out of their ass
and they have a coach
Pick 30 and below for a while...

Indeed...
The problem is way down there you don't get JJ Watt, Zeke Elliott or Carson Wentz
There's great players down there (for sure) but not instant game changers / no flip the scales in one pick guys

Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
After Drew Pearson's taunt of Eagles fans at the draft in Philly last year, I hope the Eagles have somebody good to say, "with the 32nd pick, the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles select..."
It's really a shame Buddy Ryan passed away.
Maybe Tim Hauck for ending Michael Irvin's career?

Browns are catching hell for taking Baker Mayfield first.
There are very few sure things when it comes drafting QBs, but I'd rather take a chance with a fiery and competitive guy that lives and breathes the game than a guy that's gifted but's only going to do the work required of him.

If only you could spend your dough on a quality QB coach/OC and turn a 4-7th round pick into a Super Bowl champ.Pwns wrote:Browns are catching hell for taking Baker Mayfield first.

Three and a half hours, and they trade the 32nd pick.

Imagine how angry those Iggles fans were, after they travelled all the way to Texas to gloat at Cowboys fans, waiting to hear Goodell say “With the 32nd pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles select...”

Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
Nah, chances were pretty good that the Eagles were trading out of the first round, so I'm shocked you were so pissed. Howie wasn't going to not have a pick today and without the trade they wouldn't have had a pick until Rd 4. Plus now we get an extra 2nd round pick next year. Good move on Howie's part - there'll be someone worth taking when they pick later in the 2nd round today and they can still say "Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles". I'm sure any Philly fans down there last night livened up the pretty dull environment with that phrase a few E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles chants as well (probably triggered some snowflake Vikings fans with a FOLES/SKOL chant as well).Ivytalk wrote:I was so pissed.93henfan wrote:Three and a half hours, and they trade the 32nd pick.

Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
Isn’t the Skol thing just a ripoff of the Iceland soccer fans a few years ago, sort of the equivalent of if an NFL fan base decided to start bouncing and shouting, “I believe that we will win”? Seems forced.

Re: NFL DRAFT!!!!!
The Iceland team ripped it off as well. It goes back to a Scottish soccer team of all things (Motherwell - yes, that's an actual name of a team) and they started a chant based on a scene in the movie "300" (you know, the Spartan movie). Viking fans are like 3rd or 4th to this whole thing, at least.93henfan wrote:Isn’t the Skol thing just a ripoff of the Iceland soccer fans a few years ago, sort of the equivalent of if an NFL fan base decided to start bouncing and shouting, “I believe that we will win”? I like how the Philly fans have mocked it/adopted it. We do it all non-unison like how we mocked the Braves' tomahawk chop back in the 90's when we beat the Braves in the NLCS. Good times.

I really enjoyed wasting chunks of my Saturday watching football clips as the draft rolled through the weekend. Now it's all over blown and to hyped up. Who cares that much about it to spend 4 days on it?
Also, fuck the Eagles.

Fun Redskins facts. When the Redskins last won a Super Bowl:
1. Dan Quayle was a heartbeat from the button.
2. The Dow was ~3,200 points.
3. The Billboard #1 song was Michael Jackson's Black or White
4. The US population was still less than 300 million.
5. Average new home cost $144,100.
6. Median household income was $30,636.
7. Gas cost an average $1.13/gallon.
8. A dozen eggs cost 93 cents.
9. 27 year old Dan Snyder was busy raking up enough shekels to purchase his beloved team.

The Browns could have gotten Saquon Barkley and a QB... Jeezus they suck at this93henfan wrote:It takes balls to pass on Saquon Barkley.
Instead they get an angry 5'11" QB and the 2nd best corner
They had 2 of the first 4 picks and basically get nothing
