Mauer is pacing to be a 1st ballot guy.

A lot of ballots to go yet, but he's over 80%. Even if it isn't first he's for sure 2nd or 3rd at latest.

Mauer has the best all-time average while playing catcher. His severe concussion is why he was moved to 1st base. It was that or retire. Gold gloves combined with silver sluggers and 3 batting titles will get him in, if not this year, probably in the next few years.
