Golf... Yeesh

:ohno:

It's like watching paint dry
while two sports announcers
in hushed anticipation of a slight wind change
whisper about club selection
and the dangers of some sand trap that might come into play

Ohh... god the tension

You’re obviously not watching this then.

Caught 17, 18, and first playoff 18 so far. Gotta admit, it's highly entertaining.

That Tiger chip on 17. :notworthy:

That was awesome sportsmanship by Phil conceding a tie putt by Tiger there on whatever they're up to. 21 I think?

Crazy prize. Phil made more in one day than he made in FIVE Tour Championships. SMH....

Tiger did the same thing in regulation on 18. Conceded Phil’s putt and said “lets go play...” :thumb:

Tiger's putt was a lot longer though. Not a gimme.

Phil just didn't want the game to end on a miss, which was really cool.

I didn't watch this but read an article about the course. It sounds pretty amazing. Any of you golf crazy enough to stay at an MGM Vegas hotel and shell out $500 in green fees and $50 (or so) in a tip for a caddie?

Yep. Phil said “I don’t want to win this thing like that.” So he conceded and they played it again. Then made a clutch wedge shot to get inside Tiger’s ball for the final hole.

Funniest thing tho was that the championship “belt” didn’t fit Phil...he joked “but it’d fit Tiger! Y’all thought he’d win, didn’t you!!’

Nope. That kind of money is reserved for a half a dozen courses scattered throughout the world...no course in Vegas is on that list.

I like golf but who the hell would pay good money to see two rich guys get richer by winning a made up round of golf whose only purpose was to make them richer. There are a lot better uses for $19.99 or whatever it was.

To each his own.
