Howie does some things well. Drafting WRs and CBs ain't one of them.

Neither the Patriots or Eagles roster...
has any wide receivers that "create fear" in the defense

My guess is 24 points wins this game coming up

Neither one of them looks like they can win their way to the super bowl
so ultimately this isn't that important of a game

The Ravens didn't even have that good of a game and beat hell out of the Patriots
and I don't see the Eagles getting past the Saints or the 49rs

who knows..? things can change

I don't either. I believe I mentioned that early in the thread and you put up a laughing emoji for some reason, which I found odd.

The Saints are still the class of the NFC until they get knocked out. They lost a tough divisional game to Atlanta, but they'll be there at the end, once Brees and the WRs have their timing back. That defense is stout as always.

The 49ers are interesting. They sure look good, but much like Wentz, I'll wait to see how Garrapolo does in the playoffs.

Eagles are tough to watch. Wentz even looked McNabb-like a little out there at times, just unable to be accurate and consistent when he needs to be. To be sure, he has crap to work with, but still tough to watch nonetheless.

It's their first must-win game since they went out to Lambeau and kicked the Packers' asses. Still, Seattle is a great team, so who knows? Hopefully the Eagles get Howard back. Sanders is cute, but I'd rather get five yards on first down than three. Hopefully Wentz can work on his accuracy this week as well. He looked terrible yesterday (not the first time).

You're right that yesterday was boring & frustrating. The thing that bothers me is after the Eagles go up 10-0, the rest of the day they run the ball 9 more times & call 34 pass plays. This against a team that excels versus the pass & is below average vs the run. That's on Doug and maybe Carson for audibling.

Anyway, this team isn't going anywhere - they're constructed poorly.

I was in and out of the house shuttling kids to various practices but I was either yelling at the tv or at the radio to run the ball more. They talk all week about how poor NE's defense is against the run and, just like an Andy Reid disciple, they come out with a gunslinger game plan that forgets to run the ball for long stretches of the game, especially earlier in the game when you had them on their heels. And even when they did run it, they gave the ball a heckuva lot to Boston Scott, a guy who's spent most of his career on the practice squad, rather than giving the ball to Sanders. Sanders ended up with 11 rushes, which is almost criminal. IMO:

1) Eagles have no WR corps to speak of (that's on Howie)
2) Wentz needs to be better in big games and be a reason why they win
3) Dougie P needs to get the spark back on playcalling because he looks like he has nothing new

I agree, they aren't going anywhere. They could still win the division because the cowboys suck, but they'll lose badly on the road in New Orleans or San Francisco in the divisional round, if they're fortunate to get there.

At the start of the season, I said the Eagles were mediocre and I got blasted here, and 93 started his block mindset. Well, 5-5 is mediocre.

I'll bite. The Packers are an average team, playing an easy schedule, therefore a good record. Same as the Vikings a couple years ago when they were 13-3 and the Eagle demolished them and their fans.

And the Broncos are the only team in the NFL whose General Manager could double as the team mascot without a costume.

I was over confident, just like the Eagles fans here. I am sure most fans have hope at beginning of season.
