Howie does some things well. Drafting WRs and CBs ain't one of them.GannonFan wrote:WR corps of Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews, Mack Hollins, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Sweet Moses, it almost makes me wax poetic for the time we had Charles Johnson and Torrance Small - that's the group Dougie P was throwing to when he was QB here in Philly.
Neither the Patriots or Eagles roster...93henfan wrote:Howie does some things well. Heart says Eagles; brain say Patriots. Super Bowl revenge on the minds of Belicheat and Brady.Chizzang wrote:Neither the Patriots or Eagles roster...93henfan wrote:

has any wide receivers that "create fear" in the defense
My guess is 24 points wins this game coming up
Neither one of them looks like they can win their way to the super bowl93henfan wrote:Heart says Eagles; brain say Patriots. Super Bowl revenge on the minds of Belicheat and Brady.Chizzang wrote:

I don't either. I believe I mentioned that early in the thread and you put up a laughing emoji for some reason, which I found odd.Chizzang wrote: and I don't see the Eagles getting past the Saints or the 49rs

Oh no. Here it was, in the NFL thread: https://championshipsubdivision.com/for ... s#p1257282
Jimmy Garoppolo is the Italian Brock Osweiler...93henfan wrote:The Saints are still the class of the NFC until they get knocked out. They lost a tough divisional game to Atlanta, but they'll be there at the end, once Brees and the WRs have their timing back. That defense is stout as always.
The 49ers are interesting. They sure look good, but much like Wentz, I'll wait to see how Garrapolo does in the playoffs.
Don’t forget the Seahawks.93henfan wrote:The Saints are still the class of the NFC until they get knocked out. They lost a tough divisional game to Atlanta, but they'll be there at the end, once Brees and the WRs have their timing back. That defense is stout as always.

Bump.93henfan wrote:If the Eagles had any wide receivers, they'd be a pretty good team.
It's their first must-win game since they went out to Lambeau and kicked the Packers' asses. Still, Seattle is a great team, so who knows? Hopefully the Eagles get Howard back. Sanders is cute, but I'd rather get five yards on first down than three. Hopefully Wentz can work on his accuracy this week as well. He looked terrible yesterday (not the first time).Chizzang wrote:The Eagles are favored at home next week against Seattle
You're right that yesterday was boring & frustrating. The thing that bothers me is after the Eagles go up 10-0, the rest of the day they run the ball 9 more times & call 34 pass plays. This against a team that excels versus the pass & is below average vs the run. That's on Doug and maybe Carson for audibling.GannonFan wrote:Eagles are tough to watch. Wentz even looked McNabb-like a little out there at times, just unable to be accurate and consistent when he needs to be. To be sure, he has crap to work with, but still tough to watch nonetheless.
I was in and out of the house shuttling kids to various practices but I was either yelling at the tv or at the radio to run the ball more. They talk all week about how poor NE's defense is against the run and, just like an Andy Reid disciple, they come out with a gunslinger game plan that forgets to run the ball for long stretches of the game, especially earlier in the game when you had them on their heels. And even when they did run it, they gave the ball a heckuva lot to Boston Scott, a guy who's spent most of his career on the practice squad, rather than giving the ball to Sanders. Sanders ended up with 11 rushes, which is almost criminal. IMO:bluehenbillk wrote:You're right that yesterday was boring & frustrating. Anyway, this team isn't going anywhere - they're constructed poorly.
Congrats.css75 wrote:At the start of the season, I said the Eagles were mediocre and I got blasted here, and 93 started his block mindset. Well, 5-5 is mediocre.

I'll bite. The Packers are an average team, playing an easy schedule, therefore a good record. Same as the Vikings a couple years ago when they were 13-3 and the Eagle demolished them and their fans.93henfan wrote:It's their first must-win game since they went out to Lambeau and kicked the Packers' asses. And the Broncos are the only team in the NFL whose General Manager could double as the team mascot without a costume.css75 wrote:
1 and 1. The Broncos are on the clock.

I was over confident, just like the Eagles fans here. I am sure most fans have hope at beginning of season.GannonFan wrote:You weren't just fond of the Broncos, you even said this
