And I said Flacco would have a few okay games and then acquire a mysterious injury and get paid to relax on the sidelines...

I would go so far as to say he has p,aged his last there, unless he agrees to back up.

Nobody knows who he is, which is a good thing for a long snapper.

And in case you didn't know, he's ODU alum, which is why Flaggy posted.

Agholor was also a leaker: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... wentz/amp/

I mean, you wouldn't be so upset if an elite receiver were ripping a QB, but when it's Nelson Dropholor or Alshon Brokefrey ripping the QB, you have to scratch your head.

Time to clean house this off-season.

Wentz is putting together another real solid first half today.

Airmails Sanders on a TD pass.
Loses a fumble.
Airmails Sanders again.
Loses another fumble, but bailed out by defensive holding.
Interception.

Add another Wentz fumble and Goedert fumble. The Dakota "Tough" boys are fumble machines this year. Wentz can't hit the broad side of a barn. Just complete dog shit passing. It's not the WRs' fault.

Looking like the Eagles season is pretty much over after this stinker. Granted, the Cowboys suck too, but the Eagles really needed to win one of the Patriots and Seahawks games, and they failed.

Eagles have gone six quarters without a TD.

Add another Wentz INT.

Maybe his hand is broken. I sure hope so, because if he throws this bad with a regular hand, well shit.

Somebody tell Wentz that he’s not in North Dakota anymore.

I’m not ready to “call it” on the Eagles’ season yet. Now if they manage to lose to the Fish next week, they can put the paddles away.

The fact that only the Cowboys are ahead of them makes the season still in play, but the Eagles are just dreadful right now.

The AFC East is 9-4 against the NFC East so far
The math (still) doesn't support your claim

The Eagles have a VERY easy schedule the rest of the way, with the only "tough" game being the Cowboys at home.

Right. We've known that all along. They're about to enter the same sequence the Cowboys started the season with, which is why the Cowboys looked so good early.

The problem is, the Eagles are now missing all three starting WRs, the starting RB, and the starting right side of their O Line. It's like they finally got back the entire starting defensive backfield that was out, but the football Gods said, "fuck you, now deal with the other side being out."

The Eagles have to somehow beat Dallas and gain another game on Dallas in the other four weeks. Otherwise, Dallas wins the tiebreaker. Dallas' bad loss was to the Jets, and non-conference losses don't hurt as bad as the Eagles' losses to ATL, DET, MIN, SEA. Those are killers in the tiebreaker.

I'm glad I didn't have to endure that game on TV. This is one week I was happy to be stuck watching the Bucs.

If you wanted to get the full experience of having watched the game, just put a blindfold and a Wentz jersey on your daughter, hand her a football, and start running routes.

Oh I forgot. You also have to rub oil on your hands, so that in case she's lucky enough to connect with you, you make the requisite drop.

Then have your wife boo both of you vociferously.

The crime being perpetrated here is that the Eagle defense is pretty god damn good...
They got a ton of fight in 'em even having to be on the field 40 minutes a game

Actually, the Eagles don't need any help, they control their own destiny. If they win out, and that includes winning against Dallas at home, that would give the Eagles the division. Tiebreakers for division titles are 1) head to head (would be tied with each winning a home game) 2) W-L pct in division (would be tied with each only losing to each other) and 3) W-L pct in common games. If the Eagles win out, that means they have a 5-3 record in the 8 common games, and the cowboys, already have 4 losses in the common games. Believe it or not, that cowboys loss to the Jets could end up being the reason why the Eagles win the NFC East, if it gets to that tiebreaker.

Eagles make Lane Johnson the highest-paid RT in football with a 4-yr extension and make Jake Elliott the 3rd highest-paid K with a 5-yr extension.

If Elliott could make PATs, he might be the highest paid kicker. :coffee:
