Phils rout Cards and Harper has a big night (3-4, 4 RBI), but has to leave game after fouling one off the top of his right foot. Kapler said after the game that the foot is fine and he could play today.

That helps offset his turd of an April a little. Luckily we have the offense to overcome this pitching staff so far.

Not counting out the Mutts yet, and the Braves will hang around all year, trying to repeat.

Can we muster as much hate for Freddie Freeman as we used to for Chipper Jones?

It would be really nice for the Phillies to pick up another win today. A trip out west without a travel day off can be rough. Things might look ugly in LA and that is followed by a series with the Padres who are not slouches either.

You know, that Harper guy who's on the team that's 9.5 games in front of the Nats. Although we certainly appreciate the taking down of the Braves. :thumb:

It will be a tough road trip. I’d consider a 3-3 split a great success.

Yeah, those Miami Marlins came along at a convenient time. :coffee:

Nats did stop the Marlins 6 game win streak. Have the Reds this weekend, hopefully 8-1 in last 9. Need to at the pace the Phils are moving.

Phils are reverting to Kaplerian farce/form against the Dodgers: pitchers throwing gopher balls at a record pace, inconsistent hitting, having bullpen start a game, and manager whose utter cluelessness is more apparent daily. Oh, and we’re getting Jay Bruce? Big whoop.

Someone's got that "not so fresh" feeling. :D

Hey, we knew the Dodgers series in LA was a landmine. SCBH even sprinkled the jinx over it a bit earlier in the thread.

I take full responsibility for the sweep.

It's all good. Our ace, Nola, will end this slide tonight!

Would be nice to sweep the Padres to even out the road trip, but at least winning the series would be a good turnaround. That's what aces are for, for breaking up losing streaks when they happen.

Braves can take over the division lead tonight.

Phils' ace was absent last night.

Five straight losses. Everything going bad at once. Krapler will be hearing it when the Phillies come home.
