They're bringing the Phils a lot of luck! 14-1 Braves in the 4th.dbackjon wrote:93henfan wrote:Phils & Braves are wearing 1979 throwbacks tonight. They have no pitching. None.dbackjon wrote:93henfan wrote:So, the Phillies are unofficially eliminated tonight. They haven't won a series against a ,500 or better team since May.
Still basically tied for WC spot

I knew that 125 games ago.........93henfan wrote:Last night was awesome. Nola pitches OK but only makes it through the sixth, leaving three solid innings for the bullpen to blow it, which of course they do, with Neris giving up the go ahead HR with two outs in the 9th.
And Harper goes 0-4 again. Earning them big buckeroos. He's a real overachiever. We get twelve more years of this awesomeness!
That about sums it up. Nola & pray for rain for four days...93henfan wrote:

Despite the spring training hype, the needle hasn't moved all that much in Philly, which raises the question of whether Harper's elevation as a rock star set him up for success—or if it was a guarantee for disappointment.
If the Phillies had any pitching whatsoever, they'd be in first place and we wouldn't be talking about Harper.89Hen wrote:https://bleacherreport.com/articles/284 ... bxhNjT8Q2E

Nationals will win the World series now that they are cancer free.93henfan wrote:If the Phillies had any pitching whatsoever, they'd be in first place and we wouldn't be talking about Harper.
Bullpen will prevent them from winning anything. Was looking better, now looks worse again. Up 11-1 going into the 9th yesterday. New guy Blazek gives up two walks, two hits and three runs. He's given up 5 walks in 4 innings pitched as a Nat. Awesome.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Nationals will win the World series now that they are cancer free.93henfan wrote:
