I think that if you had a college football player do something equivalent to that tea drinking thing after a score the team would be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and they should be.

Also, I do think there is a problem with rampant unsportsmanlike conduct in sports.

I can't believe it's even suggested that some wouldn't complain about a men's team running up the score the way the women did in Thailand. Actually, I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it's not unusual to make up gender double standards that don't exist.

I also think it's rich that people are complaining that more funding is needed for a women's soccer program that's won 4 of the 8 WWC tournaments that have been. That would be like UConn women's basketball complaining they need more money.

I watched the last two games and enjoyed them quite a bit. Then again, I'm still comfortable in my white male skin and don't feel a bit bad about it.

Seriously, my first-worst pain was the first 10 minutes after my pain meds wore off after my knee surgery. Getting drilled in the gonads by a rampaging Wilson was #2.

But pro football and baseball and basketball are over the top celebrations
Football players grabbing their balls and having 3 minute long dance parties in the end zone

and what do we do... ESPN has a weekly televised scorecard grading the best celebrations
we congratulate MEN on their celebrations

Taunting is taunting. Rules are rules. When taunting and rules overlap, penalties are levied. When they don't overlap, there are no penalties. I'm not sure where the double standard exists here.
