Very well could be right about the WS, but DC is not a small market. They are top 10 in most rankings for all sports and currently #11 on MLB value.

Not very accurate IT. Fans weren't showing up even though the team was in a WC spot. Bandwagon fans would have been there.

And most fan bases in MLB are "bandwagon". Hence why the Phillies were so far behind the Nats for several years in a row before last year. Phils stole a Nat to boost attendance. Go figure.
