The Nike logo is on the front of MLB jerseys for 2020 season, and some baseball fans are not too thrilled

I would actually like it better on the sleeve, it looks odd being on the front where it is.

  Or the back near the neck.

I remember many years ago when the manufacturer wanted to add a logo to the Yankees uniform (I think it was Russell). Yankees said 'Hell No'. Times are a changin'.

I wish they could find even more places to superimpose ads on hockey broadcasts and that NASCAR could fit in a few more commercials.

Houston's stadium gave any NHL rink a run for their money.

I am losing my mind over commercials with phone numbers in them. Damn, they suck. Mesothelioma, injury lawyers, Round-Up lawsuit, reverse mortgage, lonely girls chatline, etc. No wait. The last one is purposeful.

It’s official: Gerrit Cole will make more money than Stevie Strasburg.

Just wanted to prime the pump on this topic, so JoltinJoe and 89 can pick it up and run with it.

9 years, $324 million :ohno: :ohno:
The only way I can stomach this is by calling it a 6-yr, $54 million/yr contract.

 :?

Nope. That doesn't make me feel any better either. :ohno: :ohno:

Also signed Eric Thames (1B) from the Brewers. This is in addition to Stalin Castro and Will Harris. Hate losing Rendon, but 2020 team could be better than 2019.

I'm a big fan of Castro. Glove isn't great but he doesn't fool around that the plate. See ball - Hit ball. Doesn't take a lot of pitches. :thumb:

Between Rich Hill and Homer Bailey, you might get one full season of starts. Hill in particular is injury-prone.

I just saw that the Rangers are building a new stadium. The life expectancy of major sports venues is ridiculously short. :ohno:

Twinsfest at Target Field this weekend. Justin Morneau selected for the Twins Hall of Fame. Does the MLB team in your area have an event where you can meet players, buy memorabilia, walk around the bowls of the stadium, etc
