Yet somehow the Jets front office still has jobs.
Joe Douglas was only hired as GM June 2019 so has really only been control of roster for this season since it was after the 2019 draft and main part of free agency and was given little to work with.

Gase could be in trouble as coach.

NFL declined Broncos’ request to let assistant coaches suit up and play QB

The Broncos were desperate enough for a quarterback that they asked the NFL to allow assistant coaches to play today against the Saints. But the league said no.

Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver reports that the Broncos asked if they could have one of their offensive quality control coaches, Justin Rascati or Rob Calabrese, play quarterback today. But the league would not allow it.

This has happened before. In 2009, the Eagles were short on quarterbacks in training camp and asked if they could have one of their coaching interns, Matt Nagy, play quarterback in a preseason game. Nagy, now the Bears’ head coach, actually practiced with the Eagles for one day before the NFL said that moving him from the coaching staff to the roster would constitute a violation of the league’s limits on roster sizes.

Rascati quarterbacked James Madison to the FCS national championship in 2004. Calabrese was a part-time quarterback at UCF from 2008 to 2012 and threw for 1,276 yards in his college career.

With those options out, the Broncos are going with practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton at quarterback today.

Lol..

And Nagy played at UD BTW..

Hey Seattle, WTF? You were at home against a 4-7 team without their starting QB. :ohno: :ohno:

At a hotel yesterday scrolling and Packers/Eagles was on. Watched the last 6 min 2nd qtr. Couple plays in Packers safety Raven Greene (JMU AA safety 2016 & 2017 Frisco teams) sacks Wentz.
https://www.nfl.com/videos/raven-greene ... blitz-sack
Think Greene is only 1 of 2 starters among the 8-9 JMU players that have been on active rosters this season. Next series Greene tackles Dallas Goedert after he makes a reception. Reunion from the 2017 SDSU @ JMU semis.
Yeah, I know, cool story, bro.

Was it a Holiday Inn?

How many players does JMU have in the NFL? I can only think of 4-5 players. We have more alumni playing MLB than NFL.

Hampton Inn.

JMU had 14 in training camps, and as if early Oct, 8 active + 1 practice Squad.

Were 3 starting (Greene for Packers (S), Marlowe for Bills (S), Moreland for Redskins (CB)).

If it weren't for the dumb contract the Eagles gave Wentz, he'd be on the block right now. I've been off the Wentz bandwagon ever since Foles led the team in his absence. It was clear that the team was good, not him. I know so many Wentz apologists who are eating a giant bag of crow right now.

So he's kind of like Flacco - a great year here or there surrounded by mediocrity?

Kind of, 10-5 playoff record and actually winning a SB vs 0-1 playoff record (couldn't even finish two series). Nice try 88, your bait is stinky.

Thing is, Wentz has just gotten worse, it's not like he was always playing like this. He was never the most accurate passer, but he's gotten worse in that regard. What's even more worrisome is that one of his strengths was being able to read a defense and make adjustments at the line, but he looks to have gone away from the script way too much in the past year. It's obvious that he's lost the faith of the coach and the team. Who's to say how much the injury hurt his mindset. He was legitimately the NFL MVP if he hadn't gotten hurt in that Rams game, that was real. But what's also real is his regression since then. They should move on from him, I'm all for handing things over to Hurts long term now. Maybe we can trade Roseman the same time we get rid of Wentz.

How many of those 10 wins we're due to a great defense and despite a mediocre QB?

Wentz and Flacco are peas in a pod.

Maybe you're right. Flacco isn't like Wentz, he's like 1/2 an Eli Manning.
