This story has potential. He's a Trump fan. Lordy, lordy, the internal battle that will be going on in dback's head.
My thoughts on it, he's not the first nor will be the last. It takes HUGE balls to come out though.

Good to see the team, teammates and others (JJ Watt, Edelman, Warren Moon, etc.) supporting him.

Nor did I care about the last couple hundred “firsts” that happened. How this is news is beyond me.

The major problem with this is that, being the first, or among the first few, if he's cut, it'll be construed that he was cut BECAUSE he's gay, whether that had anything to do with the decision or not. That reaction tendency will likely fade out as more jump in. We're probably past someone trying to bait him on the field as some tried to do with Jackie Robinson (odd that I never heard about anyone doing that with the Rams and Browns who broke the NFL color barrier nine months before Robinson even signed with the Dodgers), but hopefully that doesn't happen at all....

The guy had 2.5 sacks last year. He’s not what you’d call a Pro Bowler.
