My favorite active player is pitching in Korea for the Lotte Giants. Some of you may remember him from his time with the A's and several other teams: Dan Straily. On Tuesday, Dan was lifted after five innings, leading 2-0, with 8 strikeouts and only five hits. The bullpen IMMEDIATELY blew up, giving up three runs in the 6th, and the Giants lost 5-2. This is becoming increasingly common worldwide, and I just don't get it. Teams are losing games left and right because bullpens are overworked. It's long past time to go back to "you finish what you start."

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
