Is it normal for teams with .500 records or worse to make the playoffs where you guys are from? I was just shocked to see my high school (Lodi) get an 11 seed after finishing 5-5, 1-4 Tri-City Athletic League. Of course, our "reward" is to face the 6 seed, a monster Catholic private school near Sacramento (Carmichael-Jesuit) that produced a 49er draft pick (my teammate in college before Sac).
Still, though, it's a nice feeling after a bad season from high school through professionals for my teams. That includes Sac State, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Calgary Stampeders (who finished with the worst record in the CFL).

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
