The Detroit Lions unveiled their new logo and uniform designs today. I'm on my iPod at the moment so I can't post the images or links so if someone else does that'd be appreciated.

It's the same logo as last year, only the Lion is upside down.

logo is a minor upgrade, the uniforms.... eh

didn't upgrade just added black as an accent color. This is a new logo & uniform package.

New look, same shitty team and results.


I do see a growing trend in pro sports though, and the Lions just did it. If the teams sucks, and may be drafting a franchise player change the logo of the team, change colors, change everything but the team name.

Nuggets - Mello
Cavs - James
Falcons - Vick
Celtics - the big three...there was some change there
Mavs - when they brought in Dirk and crew


Maybe it's a new start for Detoit.

How could I forget the Rays? I would also add the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Disney California. While they can't get their name straight, those new uni's have done something to them the last 7 years or so.

Using this theory, how many wins would the Nats gain each season if their cap and uniform fonts actually matched? Or the Charlotte Bobcats if their logo, team colors and unis weren't in combination a complete clusterfuck?

smart move by the lions... make your team look more like an Arena League team... since that's what they play like...

They play half of their games on the road, they need to look nice.

I dunno their old logo was classic. I'm sure the fans are pissed. At least people are talking about the Lions and the topic isn't about how much they suck.
