Back to the topic on hand, it's official: Yankee fans can once again chant "1918" since that was the last legitimate Red Sox World Series winner.
1918!!!
Yes, and other fans can still chant "2000" to Yankee fans due to all the tainted titles during the A-Rod era...JoltinJoe wrote:Can't cry over spilled milk ...dbackjon wrote:

Yes, we've had the deceny not to win titles during the "Era of Performance Enhanced Championships" which began in 2001.dbackjon wrote:Yes, and other fans can still chant "2000" to Yankee fans due to all the tainted titles during the A-Rod era...JoltinJoe wrote:

Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.
I want to apologize to Mr. McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, Mr. Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation.

I'm not going to defend Ramirez, but if what he says is true about taking and passing 15 tests over the past 5 seasons, you can lay this * crap to rest.

First off, Manny doesn't speak that way - obviously, a prepared statement by PR.
By limiting it to PAST 5 years, is he admitting, as JOSE claims, he failed in 2003? That is just outside the 5 year window of his statement.
Possibly, or it could have been said like that to cover the time frame since testing had been implemented in MLB.dbackjon wrote:UNHWildCats wrote:Statement from Manny Ramirez
