Cannot believe anybody hasn't posted this yet. So. Who will get the gate on Monday? I think that the NBA, and the city of Denver will get the boot. Either the NBA will play the game earlier in the day, or, they will have to play it on Tuesday.

Vince will take a fat buyout. That's what he's angling for... he knows RAW isn't going on monday... he just wants $$ for his trouble.

wonder if they could do it at Invesco, make tickets for the upper deck portions like $5 and blow out the Nuggets in terms of attendance... make a spectacle out of it like the WWE does so well...

It's up to the nuggets to figure this out from what I've heard. The NBA says the game has to be played on Monday
"The Nuggets and the WWE understand that the date of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals cannot be changed," NBA senior vice president Mike Bass said. "We are confident that the Pepsi Center and the WWE will resolve their scheduling conflict."

Didn't the WWE have the date reserved way back when? Wouldn't it be Denver's loss and they will have to find a college arena to play in or something?

Yup, they reserved it last august and McMahon is blaming it on the stupidity of the owner for not having faith in his team playing basketball this late in May. That's what I gather the NBA is saying to Denver.

NBA: "Hey, you guys fucked up... it's your problem, you fix it or else"

What if the WWE says F U? We got it reserved and we will be there on Monday for our show. Your problem, you deal with it. Go somewhere else to play bball. What then? Does the Arena just not allow the WWE in and renig on the contract?

I think the Arena should determine which competition is least likely rigged and base their decision on that... Fans don't want to see a bunch of posers out there knowing that organization in control has destined one opponent to win. I'll put my money on the arena selecting the WWE

I just think that if the arena decides to tell the WWE to go pound sand, by Tuesday afternoon the WWE might own the place.

Vince's legal team is one of the best in America... I think you might be right.

Saw a snippit on the news this morning and it says that Bball will be played monday night. IT is getting good. Cannot wait for what will happen. Wouldn't it be great if all the wrestlers got tickets to the game and sat in random seats throughout the arena and during the game just suddenly got up and started beating each other with chairs, concession trays, and the like all the while guzzling beer by the bucket full!

I like the earlier idea of having it at Invesco. They could also move to CU's arena couldn't they, just have the Nuggets/Arena pcikup the costs.....

it was reserved last August but it wasnt until April that the arena confirmed they were still using it and signed the contract on the final day of the NBA season.

WWE moves event out of Denver

Vince McMahon claims he's being thrown out. His opponent insists McMahon is the double-crosser.

It'd make a good story line for a wrestling feud -- but it won't take place in Denver.

World Wrestling Entertainment is moving its Monday night show to Los Angeles because of a conflict with the Pepsi Center in Denver, which had booked two events for the same night.

The Nuggets are scheduled to host the Lakers on Monday in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, but WWE had previously secured the arena for an episode of Monday Night Raw.

The WWE chairman criticized Kroenke Sports, which owns the Nuggets and Pepsi Center, for not being more helpful when the conflict arose over the weekend.

"They bumped us right out of the building, hardly an apology," McMahon said Wednesday. "They didn't do anything for us at all, and the media was talking about someone has to write a check. They didn't want to write anything and they wanted to give us a Sunday night. And the name of the show is Monday Night Raw."

However, Kroenke Sports claims McMahon had previously agreed to a deal to shift the event to Sunday.
