All eligible Brewers among All-Star vote leaders
Braun and Hardy leading at respective positions

MILWAUKEE -- Ryan Braun and J.J. Hardy rank as the leading vote-getters at their respective positions as all Brewers on the ballot are faring extraordinarily well in early voting results for the 2009 All-Star Team. The first round of voting results was announced today by Major League Baseball.

Braun, who is batting .325 with eight home runs and 31 RBI, ranks third overall in National League voting results with 663,164 votes, trailing only St. Louis first baseman Albert Pujols (842,058) and Philadelphia second baseman Chase Utley (675,596). J.J. Hardy leads all shortstops with 403,269 votes.

Meanwhile, Prince Fielder, Bill Hall, Jason Kendall and Rickie Weeks all rank second at their positions. Outfielders Mike Cameron and Corey Hart rank fifth and seventh, respectively, among N.L. outfielders

Milwaukee’s vendetta against All-Star game leaves Ibanez sixth in outfield voting
Bud Selig, baseball’s commissioner and former owner of the Brewers, signed his own declaration of war against the Midsummer Classic by enacting the “homefield advantage” rule in 2003.

Brewers fans have now picked up where Selig left off by voting for several of their undeserving players in this year’s contest. Bill Hall is currently hitting .223 with four homers and 11 RBIs and sits in second place, well ahead of Chipper Jones, Ryan Zimmerman and Aramis Ramirez at third base.

J.J. Hardy is hitting .247 with five homers and 23 RBIs and leads all NL shortstops in voting, ahead of Hanley Ramirez, Jimmy Rollins and Jose Reyes.

Best of all, Jason Kendall’s .206 average and zero homers were sufficient enough to earn him second place among NL catchers, ahead of Russell Martin, Ivan Rodriguez and Brian McCann.

Raul Ibanez, easily the most productive hitter in all of baseball, trails five other men in NL outfield voting, including suspended male-impersonator Manny Ramirez  and Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron.

Are you serious Brewers fans? You really think every player on your team is an all star? Part of the blame lies in other NL fans not voting, but voting a straight ballot for your team is ridiculous. I think Pedro Feliz and Jason Werth are good players, but are they all starts? The best at their position this year? Nope, so I won't vote for them.

Jason Kendall???? WTF!!! RICKIE WEEKS IS OUT FOR THE YEAR!?!?! I understand he was having a career year, but he's done... finito... Bill Hall, that's laughable. I had nothing against the Brewers, but you are now officially on the "Teams I Hate" list.

If it wasn't for Bud Selig putting meaning on who wins the all star game I may not be so pissed...

The AL will win the all-star game again anyway.

Perhaps, perhaps not... either way the "Best" of the NL East beat down the "Best" of the AL East... didn't keep up with the rest of interleague, but I'll take the regular season victories, Phils don't need home field to win world series. 8-)

But yes Milwaukee fans voting all their players in is like people voting for Manny. That cocksvcker should not be allowed within 100 miles of the all-star game this season. The FOX commentators (Buck & Fuck as I call them) were saying today that he should be allowed to play since A-Rod and Barry got to. BULLSHIT! They didn't get caught in the middle of the season, they admitted to using, Hairball Ramdick didn't so screw him and the fans that vote for him.

This is the NL homie... don't care what those D-bags do on their side. Plus both those teams have nation wide fake fan bases, the Japanese watch the MLB and specifically teams with Japanese players.... this is the Brewers... they haven't won a pennant since 1982! I wouldn't be surprised if Paul Molitor or Robin Yount got write in nods the way this is going. Seriously, how many Brewer fans are their? Has to be 10-20 times less than the Yankees, Sawk, or Japanese nations.

Wait, so one team's fanbase is telling Bud Selig to go fuck himself with a leaf rake, and I'm supposed to be pissed about it for some reason
