Manchester United new shirt sponser Aon

Manchester United have announced that they have reached a significant sponsorship agreement with Aon Corporation, the world's leading risk advisor and human capital consultant, to take effect from the start of the 2010-11 season.

I was still getting use to AIG after they changed from Vodafone.

You knew it was coming. How could aig sponsor a team at this level while being broke and taking our money?

Frankly, this is the part of soccer than annoys me - can't stand the advertisements on the uniforms, especially that prominent. I know it's a huge source of revenue, but it's horribly tacky.

not quite to the level of tackiness of NASCAR, or college bowl games (with all their sponsors), though.
