That was starting to get real ugly at the end of the half.... USA needed that half time whistle, Spain looked like they were going to score any second. Torres isn't going to be offsides or miss every time and is going to get in there one of these times.

Yup, Spain was definitely bringing the pressure the last five to ten minutes. A few good chances and some nice work by the US to get the ball out of there.

Gonna see a lot more of that in the second half. We need to stop constantly going for the long ball and work on possession.

That's what I was telling these guys in the Lab... USA takes one good possession, passes once and then tries to launch the ball upfield to Altidore or Donovan. Spain is working the ball upfield on their possessions and it looked like it was going to pay off in the final minutes... to many corners for Spain and to much time of possession on our side of the field. What was it? Spain 69% USA 31% possession? Ridiculous. If they don't control the ball better this second half, it could get out of hand quick.
