ahhh, well, if they trade Griffey and Dunn, you might as well not be a fan anymore
If they trade those guys maybe they'll get some pitching help in return. I'm old, fat and have a lousy arm and could still be on the Reds staff this year.
Apparently the latest rumor floating around baseball is that Jocketty and LaRussa are going to be out in STL after this season but they are buddies with the new/current Reds owner and he will be bringing them in to try to clean up the mess in Cincy. I don't know if there's any validity to all of that but why not, if those two get the gate in STL, bring them in and let them try to fix it. They just won the Series last season so they must know a thing or two about what it takes to accomplish that.

LaRussa or no LaRussa, it takes talent, that which the Reds would be seriously lacking if they traded those 2 guys

What does this say for Rob Bowen, who's now on his third team this year (Friars, Cubbies, F's) via two trades? Does ANYBODY really want this guy?
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

The kid can't hit, thats the problem. He is a great defensive guy, but he will always be a backup if he can't hit. Backup catchers are very expendable, thus traded alot
Damn bullpen!!! Cubs lose 4-2. Brewers win, so now we are 4.5 games back
Today's matchup:
SF: M. Cain (3-10, 3.53)
CHC: C. Zambrano (11-7, 3.83)
Zambrano has been one of the hottest pitchers in the majors. He is 4-1 in his last 5 starts. The only loss, he gave up 3 runs in 7 innings and left with a chance but the bullpen blew it. Other than that, he has been dominating.
On a side note, the Brewers ace, Ben Sheets is out 4-6 weeks with a distal sprain of his right middle finger

D-Backs get to dodge Sheets, and they'll probably STILL find a way to lose tonight.
