Zambrano vs. Sheets tonight. Hopefully Big Z starts out like he did against the Cards.

Re: Cubbies!
What's really funny about this post is that you actually think there is a Cubs bandwagon. You guys are so pathetic that you think being around .500 is such an incredibly successful season that there is a huge bandwagon effect. I guess that's the way you have to think when you are a fan of the worst franchise in MLB history.AppGuy04 wrote:I have been to many Cubs games. My father was a Cubs fan, and was born in Chicago, so you may wanna take that bandwagon shit to Boston. Honestly, choosing to be a bandwagon Cubs fan is like choosing to be gay in Texas, asking for punishmentCitadelGrad wrote:
My guess is that a lot of you Cub fans are like Notre Dame subway alumni -- you've never stepped foot in your team's home stadium. How many of you guys have actually attended a game at Wrigley?

Re: Cubbies!
I don't think fans of any team in the NL Central are in a position to talk smack. When the Reds are only 6.5 games back but are 10 games south of .500 with a pitching staff that is so bad they could give me a September 1st call-up and I couldn't make them any worse, that says it all about the NL Central ... except that even the Pirates are only 9 games back!

Re: Cubbies!
Dude, everyone has a right to talk smack about the Cubs, the worst franchise in MLB history. That goes double for fans of the St. Louis Cardinals, the most successful franchise in NL history, second most successful in MLB history and reigning world champions.AppGuy04 wrote:Are you seriously talking smack when you are behind said .500 team?

Can you really claim to be a world champion when you won't even get the chance to defend it?

Are you serious? The Cardinals are the reigning world champions. They've got the trophy and the rings to prove it.AppGuy04 wrote:Can you really claim to be a world champion when you won't even get the chance to defend it?
I have a question for you. Can the Cubs really claim to be a Major League franchise with their long, long, long record of futility and utter failure?

Re: Cubbies!
D-backs 5
Cubs 1
Final
D-backs win NLDS 3-0.
Good season for the Cubs but same old ending - wait til next year. I like Lou since he won Cincy's last WS but I really wonder about him pulling "Z" like he did in the first game and having the Cubs lose it. They never recovered.
