Still early for this thread, but my Brother-in-law emailed last night that he has a couple tickets available for Friday. Now I've got my mind on golf for a couple weeks. :D

I've got tickets for Friday's round.

Radio reports today said 15,000 following Tiger Woods during his practice round on Monday, 20,000 following him on Tuesday.

I'd be as far away from that group as humanly possible. Makes for a nice quiet rest of the golf course... :thumb:

He tees off at 1:45, should have a chance to watch the other golfers, and then find a place to plant ourselves and wait for the tsunami of Tiger fans to flow by. :D

Yeah, find a fairway and sit on it about 4 groups in front of Tiger. You'll get a good look at him and not be amongst the mob. That's what we did at Quail Hollow and got to see everyone play, plus front row for Tiger.

I've been to a couple golf tourneys. They are ok. I feel like a drunk when I drink at them.

Leaving in a few minutes for Hazeltine, probably take an hour to get there from here.
My daughter suggested sitting near the water on the 16th. Should be a fun day.

I see no problem with this. Playing or watching golf sober makes about as much sense as jerking off with sandpaper.

If you ever get to Phoenix for the Phoenix (ok, FBR) Open, you won't feel like a drunk. It's the largest party in America!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Fun time today. Got to see just about all the pros. We would go 5 or 6 groups ahead of Tiger and watch without much hassle as the groups came by. Then a surge of people would come through with Tiger, the gallery would get 5-10 deep along the fairways. A couple dozen photographers, a group of media, and several security people. Quite the phenomena. The Tiger surge would pass, and then the other golfers would come by just like guys out for a weekend round, little fanfare etc.

An aside, saw Joe Nathan in the PGA Clubhouse and told him to take it to the Indians tonight, well the Twins are up 11-0, so not much of a chance of Nathan.
