BERLIN — International Olympic leaders selected golf and rugby Thursday for proposed inclusion in the 2016 Summer Games, rejecting bids from baseball, softball and three other sports.

I think this is good for the Olympics and these two sports. Golf is quite popular worldwide and Rugby is an up and coming sport in many countries.

I love Rugby. I can't wait for that to be part of it.


To bad the US isn't good enough to medal as of right now. Maybe by 2016

Might as well just give Tiger his gold medal now.

I kind of doubt it, seems like we're still pretty far behind countries like New Zealand, South Africa, England, etc. But I hope you're right.

We are, but we have made some pretty good strides the last couple years, compared to where we have been. I'm hoping in 2016 we can place between 4-7, that would be an amazing showing, as of now.

What'll be so good about Golf in the Olympics? The best players in the world face off against each other almost every week and four times a year there is a really huge tournament they all play in... in fact, I think there is one going on right now. It'll be the same as Olympic tennis and soccer... no one will give a crud.

Sucks that baseball and softball we rejected again. Damn European bias
